Holy Day Kuningan in Bali

Dharma Hindus in Bali, Saturday, celebrating the holy day of Kuningan in a series of meaningful Galungan holiday commemorating the victory of dharma (virtue) against adharma (evil).

Dressed in traditional Balinese clothes, thousands of Hindus thronged temples Sakenan, one of the temples “sad heaven” (big temple) that “piodalan” or ceremony coincided with the feast day of Kuningan.

Location before 1995 a separate foundation to the mainland island of Bali, so that Hindus who prayed there had to use the services of a motorboat or djoekoeng.

But now the location is unified with the mainland island of Bali, thanks to the dredging and expansion undertaken by the Bali Turtle Island Development (BTID), a national private company, so the area is now united with the mainland of Bali.
