Barong Ket or Barong Keket is the most widely available dance in Bali. This kind of dance is a fovourite for it has complex dancing movement. Barong itself is a Balinese mystical animal, a mixture of between a lion, tiger, and a cow. Barong body part is decorated with carvings made of leather, affixed to the sparkling mirror glass and fur made from plant fiber, palm fiber or some of crow feathers.

The mask of is made of wood from haunted places such as cemeteries. This made Barong as one of Hindu?s sacrificed objects. To start Barong dance, there will always be an opening dance. Actually, there are many types of Barong dance, but Barong Ket is the one usually performend to entertain tourists.

To play the role of Barong, two dancers are needed. One will play as the head and the other as the tail. The story of a Barong dance is about an endless battle between virtue (dharma) and bad (adharma).
